Broccoli Ham & Cheese Egg Bake

This Broccoli Ham & Cheese Egg Bake is basically a crustless quiche, kind of like a frittata.  If you like scrambled eggs, you will probably like it!  This recipe makes a great breakfast, but pair it with some lightly dressed mixed greens, and you can call it lunch :)

Homemade Butterfinger Bars (made with candy corn!)

This bag of candy corn has been hanging out in my cupboard since October.  Who really likes candy corn anyways?  If they were any good at all, they would be long gone by now.  So there they sat, month after month.  But THEN I remembered this crazy recipe that I saw on Pinterest for homemade Butterfinger candy bars!

Philly Cheesesteak Wraps (made with venison!)

Homemade baked fries have become one of my go-to side dishes.  You can flavor them with whatever spices strike your fancy, have them on the table in less than 20 minutes, and they are pretty hard to mess up!  These oven fries combine a little bit of kick from Old Bay seasoning with a little bit of sweetness from the, you guessed it, sweet potatoes!

Southwestern Sweet Potato Salad

As new homeowners and overall frugal people, my husband and I try to save money where we can -- and that includes packing our lunches at home!  The hubs is a creature of habit.  I, on the other hand, crave some variety in my life.  With 2015 knocking on the door, we are all in need of a healthy recipe or two.  This one is healthy, colorful, and even without any meat, it makes for a satisfying lunch.

Oatmeal Pecan Lace Cookies

Around the holidays, I like to try out new cookie recipes.  This past weekend, I found this one for Oatmeal Pecan Lace cookies.  They are super thin with almost a brittle-like crunch. The sugar and butter melt together into a delicious nutty caramel flavor.
